Frequently asked questions
Repair or replace — where's the line?
Rule of thumb: chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than a dollar bill, outside the driver's direct sight line and away from the glass edge, are repair candidates. Bigger, longer, edge-touching, or sight-line damage means replacement. Send a photo and we'll call it honestly.
How do Ozarks temperature swings affect my cracked windshield?
Dramatically — glass expands and contracts with temperature, and a chip concentrates that stress. The first cold morning after a warm stretch is when chips run. A crack that's been stable all summer is not stable; it's waiting.
Do you handle the insurance claim for me?
We work with all major insurers and can bill approved claims directly — you pay your deductible (if any) and we handle the rest of the paperwork.
What's ADAS recalibration and do I need it?
If your vehicle has camera-based safety features (lane keep, auto braking), the camera looks through the windshield and must be recalibrated after replacement. We confirm from your VIN and include it in the quote — never a surprise add-on.
Can you work in the rain?
Glass adhesive needs dry conditions, so heavy weather means rescheduling or working under cover — a garage or carport solves it. Chip repairs are more weather-flexible than replacements.
What payment do you take?
Card, cash, or common payment apps after the work is done — or your insurance claim handles it. The quote you approved is the invoice.
